Scope: Excavation and moving of ~46,000 m3 materials. Re-establish Horetzky Road, culverts and electrical cable repairs damaged during Oct 2017 storm with aggregate produced on-site. Construction of 88-man camp pad and bypass road. Supply, deliver and install road edge protection with 1000+ jersey barriers, gabion basket walls and berms. Ditching and road erosion repairs. Commisioning of RBR facilities. Clearing and grubbing for disposal sites. Repairs to 2900 level access road including scaling, drilling and blasting. Repairs to 2600 level access road. Supply and deliver aggregate, and construct avalanche berms and gabion walls for Horetzky camp and T2 access tunnel. Barging services, including loading and unloading of equipment. Supply 3 fully equipped fire-fighting trailers. Miscellaneous, including: scrap steel removal and recycling, bridge and pothole repairs, sewage pit cleaning. Upgrade, replace and establish all temporary facilities for the Tahtsa Intake, including supply and install 15-ton overhead crane.
Challenges: Remote location with barge-only access.
